Portraits

Girair Poladian’s portraits are deeply personal. He painted family members, friends, fellow artists, writers, and people who were part of his life. Rather than seeking a precise likeness, Poladian tried to capture the character and emotional presence of the person before him. Through expressive color and energetic brushwork, each portrait becomes both an image of an individual and a record of a human connection. Click any image to enlarge.
